Where are you located?

RedStarResume hires resume writers around the world that keep up to date with the standards set by each country we service. We currently operate in Australia, the United States, the UK, New Zealand, and we hope to service Canada soon. It is important to note that RedStarResume closely monitors the standards set in all countries we service. We wouldn't, for example, spell "specialise" with an "s" if we were writing a resume to be distributed around the United States.

Why are your prices in Australian dollars?

RedStarResume was first started and registered in Australia, however our prices were set to U.S. dollars because it is the "universal currency." By no means does this mean you can’t purchase any of our services if you are outside the United States. When you go to purchase any of our services, PayPal will automatically convert our price into your currency of choice. Additionally, when your card is charged, it will automatically convert our prices into your currency of choice as well (so you won't pay foreign transaction fees).

How does this service work?

It’s easy! Look through our site, and choose the option that works best for you. Select your service of choice, and then download our checklist. Fill out the checklist and email it back to us. It tells us everything we need to know about you in order to write you the best resume and/or cover letter possible. Because of the amount of detail in the questions we ask, no interview is necessary, however we may need to contact you for additional details in case your checklist lacks a little bit of detail. Once you send the checklist back to us, you’re done! Depending on which service you purchase, it will take between 2-4 days to receive your tailored and professional cover letter and resume!

Why don’t you need to meet with me or speak to me in person?

Our comprehensive checklist that we ask you to fill out will provide us with all the necessary information to create you the best and most effective resume possible. We are here to provide convenience to you, and to make this process as easy as possible.

What service best fits my needs?

It depends on what you’re looking for and when you need it. Check out our Services page to decide! Please note that in cases of emergency (i.e. you need a cover letter ASAP), we are able to expedite any of our services so you will receive your resume and/or cover letter within 24 hours.

What if I have no work experience?

That’s ok! There are many people in your position who are looking for their first job. In this case, our job is to highlight your skills, knowledge, and education (if applicable). We are extremely experienced in developing these types of resume.

I am still in school. Do I need a resume yet?

You can always benefit from having a resume. A job opportunity can come and go in just a matter of minutes, and you want to be prepared. Many companies have been known to make job offers to students months before they graduate.

With students, we focus on highlighting your education, knowledge, skills and work experience (if applicable).

I already have a resume. Can I have it edited?

Whether you have no resume or an existing resume, we still charge the same amount. You may add your existing resume to our checklist, but we still suggest that you answer our questions in detail, even if the information seems a little redundant. Whether you fill out our checklist or send us an old resume, we will still write you a new resume from scratch.

Do I need a cover letter?

Absolutely. Any job you apply for will provide the “option” to include a cover letter. If the option is there, it means that you better include one. For many employers, it’s the first step of “weeding out” applications. If you don’t include one, they will delete your application immediately—without even opening your resume. In other words, your application has been rejected before they even read it.

If I choose to get my resume/cover letter expedited, how long will it take for me to receive it?

You will receive everything within 24 hours from the time you email the questionnaire back to us.
